Dear Yuletide!
Dear Author,
Sorry this took me so long! I'm really excited for Yuletide this year, and I hope you are, too. And thanks!
First some general things that I love: Family, found family, stories where people have to deal with icky feelings, or stories where they utterly fail to deal with them at all (feelings are gross!), fluff, h/c.
Things that I am not generally a fan of: Incest, noncon, torture, major character death, bad endings.
Now the specifics:
Spindle's End, Katriona and Rosie
ANY AND ALL family stuff between these two. Rosie and really digging into her feelings as she realizes that despite Kat being her "cousin" she really sees her as her mother. Kat and her fretting. Post canon, during the years of growing up... anything. I love them.
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Dick, Jason, and Tim
In what will probably become a running theme in my requests, I just want more of these kids. I want to know how they came to be together, or how they coped when Bruce and Alfred took them in. This hits my found family buttons with a brick.
Newsflesh, Shaun, Georgia, Mahir.
And I guess we come to exceptions to the above stated preferences, because I do actually ship Shaun and George, and uh. The series is kind of all about major character death. But specifically here, I'd love to see Mahir putting up with their bullshit. He is overworked, underpaid (there is no amount of money that is worth what he has to deal with from them), and somehow he still likes them enough to call them friends. So what does that look like?
Damar Series Gonturan
I had never considered a story about Gonturan before, but after seeing her as a character for Yuletide, I suddenly needed her story. As we all know, she has a history far too long to be contained by any one tale, but I'd love to read anything about her origins or adventures. Before, during, or after the wielders we know and love.
Wayward Children Unnamed Wolcott Child
I WANT MORE ABOUT THIS KID. I want to know about his growing up, and if he ever reconnects with his sister(s), and if he finds a door of his own (YES PLEASE). Considering how terrible the Wolcotts are, I really can't imagine them doing better this time around, and I'd love to see what fresh new and terrible mistakes they make. And also if he eventually finds a not-terrible family of his own. (Also don't feel limited to "he." We all know how terrible the Wolcotts are about gender in every way possible.)
